Communication Guidelines

An updated summary of the Communications Procedures in place at Kingsley will be available soon.  The Communications Action Team (CAT) Leader is Amanda Hensley.  You can contact her at bahensley@bellsouth.net with any questions.  Please bear with us as we transition to a new web site.  The CAT leader oversees all school-to-home communications at Kingsley including the weekly bulletin (E-Courier), bi-monthly newsletter (Kingsley Comet), web site, parent email list and Student Directory.

If you have items to add, please contact Allegra Johnson.  The latest updates will be maintained here and also printed in the weekly E-Courier (EC) calendar.
Kindergarten Roundup - is Thursday, May 8, 2008 from 8-10am, details on our Kindergarten Roundup page.
The school calendar is printed in the Student Directory (in the back) and also available in your child's Agenda/Planner (2nd graders and above - month-at-a-glance format) or in the Student/Parent Handbook (Pre-K, K and 1st grade parents should have received this at orientation).  These are helpful for long-range planning but check this link and the weekly EC calendar for the latest updates.

E-Courier weekly bulletin

The weekly E-Courier bulletins will be available online again soon.  If you want to be added to the email list for the E-Courier (and Comet) please send an email to council@kingsleycharter.org with the subject "EComm".  This will remove your name from the paper distribution list (unless you request otherwise).  Please include your youngest child's name, grade and teacher in the email.

If you have items to add to the E-Courier, please send an email to bahensley@bellsouth.net and start the subject line with "EC MM/DD/YY", indicating the date you would like it published.  Submission deadline is Tues. 3pm and publication is Thursday morning.

Paper copies of the EC are sent home in the youngest child's bookbag in the Thursday courier packet (brown envelope).  Electronic copies are emailed Thursday morning, usually by 9am.

Comet bi-monthly newsletter

The Comet newsletters will be available online again soon.  If you want to be added to the email distribution list for the Comet (and E-Courier) please send an email to council@kingsleycharter.org with the subject "EComm".  This will remove your name from the paper distribution list (unless you request otherwise).  Please include your youngest child's name, grade and teacher in the email.
