What is Roving Reporters?Roving Reporters is our journalism-related student club that focuses on creative writing, interviewing skills, communication technology, and more.. Members serve as the Kingsley's student reporters with their own press pass and publish the student Comet newsletter which may include interviews with teachers, creative stories, student drawn comic strips, articles about events happening at Kingsley (ex: Walking Wednesday).Open to Grades 1-5
Parent Advisors: Allegra Johnson and Jim Morris, Staff Advisor: Conswella Bennett At what grade level can students join? The Roving Reporters club is open to Kindergarten through 5th grade students.
When do the reporters meet? This year, the reporters will meet every Wednesday from 2:45-3:30 in the Kingsley computer lab. The first meeting will be held on October 5.
Are parents required to participate? While we do not require that parents volunteer to help with teh club, we do ask that parents help if at all possible. Since our reports range in age from 5-12, we can get a lot more done with more adults to help with interview questions, writing articles, brainstorming, etc.
