We still need a few more yearbook  purchases to meet our minimum order requirement - ORDER YOURS NOW to ensure you  get one! There is no guarantee that extra books will be available at the end of  the year as in the past. To order, turn in a $30 cash or check made out to  Kingsley Charter Foundation. Send in money and your completed order form (click  here to download) to front office in an envelope clearly marked with "Attention: Yearbook."  While you are at it, place your order for a personal ad. Kids LOVE the Public Displays of Affection (PDAs) section because it contains personal messages from their parents with message about how proud they are of them and congratulating them on their accomplishments--what kid doesn't like to hear that they are special? PDAs are available in various sizes with the smallest beginning at 1/8 of a page for $15. To place your order, send an email to Allegra Johnson at ajwigwam@bellsouth.net containing your PDA message with the picture you'd  like to include. Orders for PDAs are due by Friday, January 27, and all layouts  must be turned in by Monday, January 30. If you like to work outside and need to fulfill some volunteer hours, please bring a pitch fork/rake/shovel and wheelbarrow to the "forest area" (this is the wooded area to the south and west of the school) any time and help spread the mulch that someone has dumped there.  We want to replenish the mulch in the pathway first, then we can add  more to the outdoor classroom in that same area.  If we do not spread the mulch  soon the county will come collect it.  Questions? Contact Amanda Hensley  404-630-6932.

How can you be involved?  How can you share this great experience with your child?  How can you get volunteer hours early in the semester?

We will need A WHOLE LOT OF help your producing "A Kid's Life" this year's 4th Grade Play.

We need a whole Creative & Production Team (Stage  Manager, Dance Captain, Technical Director, Set Manager, Stage Crew, House Manager, Publicity Manager) and would love to work with Next Year's Producer/ Director. This is a great opportunity for 3rd  Grade parents who are interested in producing and/or directing next year's 4th Grade Play.  You could shadow this year's team to make sure you know what is needed, what to do again and what to avoid to make next year even easier.

Go through your bookshelfs, baskets and nightstands and bring in any used books that you would like to donate. Just put your book donations in the boxes in the foyer entrance of the school. For the safety and comfort of our students (and their parents too) our Walking Wednesday program will take a winter break during the months of December, January and February. You are welcome to continue walking to school on your own, but Kingsley’s “Walking School Bus” is in the garage until Georgia Walk to School Day on March 7. Thank you to everyone that has made this program a tremendous success – we look forward to seeing everyone again in spring 2012!

New supplies have arrived, so stop by. Also, remember every Tuesday, the school store now has specialty and holiday items that will be only 25 cents for the children to buy between 7:20-7:50am, along with some other school favorite items.  Come and check us out every Tuesday to see what we will have.
